GR Stables

GR Stables has been in its current location for over 25 years, and was run by Laura Gordon and Jenny Rolfe. Miss Gordon sadly passed away in September 2013, but Jenny and the rest of the yard are working hard to keep her legacy alive by making sure the yard prospers.

GR Stables is a friendly, rustic, relaxed yard that thrives on rider involvement and participation. We all try to help where we can, and this makes for a happy yard with no politics.

Our yard owner, Jenny Rolfe, is incredibly dedicated to the wellbeing and happiness of the horses in her care. She holds a SANEF qualification, and has been a part of this yard for more years than she cares to remember! Along with her team of minions, she makes sure that the horses are under 24h supervision and have absolutely everything they could possibly need.

John, our head groom, has been with us for over ten years. His 2-I-C, Alfred, has been with us since 2021. They are both very passionate about their work, and treat the horses with the utmost respect and love.

GR is situated on Van Schoorsdrif Road, just off the N7. We are about 16km from Edgemead and Table View, next to the West Coast Ostrich Ranch. We share a property with another yard, but are under separate management.
